Our Leadership

Belinda Stanley-Majors

Principal

Belinda Stanley founded Medical Asset Management, Inc. in 1993 as an organization dedicated to educating and training individuals in the healthcare field. Specifically, her objective was to raise the level of expertise in an industry that relies heavily on non-clinical personnel to perform duties such as coding, billing and reimbursement management. She is also a Certified Professional Coder and received this designation from the American Academy of Professional Coders in 1995.

Upon obtaining a Bachelor's of Science degree from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, her career in the healthcare industry began.  Her expertise as a Healthcare Consultant for physicians, hospitals and practice management companies is derived from her background as a consultant for Coopers & Lybrand and previous roles as Regional Claims Manager for one of the largest managed care companies in the nation, Group Claims Manager for a third-party administrator and a National Reimbursement Manager for a national physician practice management company.

She has quite an extensive background interpreting and implementing third-party payor regulations -- specifically Medicare, Medicaid, commercial and managed care plans. Additionally, she is a highly respected speaker at national conferences in her areas of expertise.

She co-founded The National Medical Coding Institute that offers the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) medical coding curriculum to prepare individuals for certification as a Professional Coder. She is also an approved instructor for the course. In addition to this course curriculum, other specialty coding courses are offered year round.

As Principal of Medical Asset Management, Inc. additional subsidiaries were created to meet the needs of the marketplace - MAMI Publications, LLC and iRCODER.COM.
